Since 1973, Benoît MARQ has perpetuated the family tradition with l’Atelier Simon MARQ under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture and Historic Monuments. So, he embarked on a series of restorations such as the 13th century North rose window in Reims Cathedral in 1981, the 12th century windows of Saint Rémi Basilique in Reims between 1986 and 1998 (the windows were restored and protected by a secondary glazing system using clear glass mounted in lead, following the main lead lines of the original panels), the 14th century windows of Toul Cathedral between 1983 and 1989. The 16th century windows by Valentin BOUSCH in the transept of Metz Cathedral were restorated between 1973 and 1990. The 13th century windows of the cheviot in Laon Cathedral between 1990 and 1995 (restored and protected by secondary glazing - the first time secondary glazing were carried out on a rose window).

Between 1989 and 1996, l’Atelier Simon MARQ was also responsible for the restoration of the 12th and 13th century windows of the abbey-church in Orbais l’Abbaye in the Marne. Then, between 1992 and 1996, the workshop improved the restoration of the 13th century windows of the chancel in Saint Jean Aux Bois Abbey Church in the Oise.

In 1998 l’Atelier Simon MARQ achieved the restoration of the 13th century windows from two and half bays of the chancel of Saint-Urbain Church in Troyes in the Aube, which began in 1996 (the latter restoration was accompanied by the same protective secondary glazing as Saint-Rémi Basilique in Reims and Laon Cathedral).

Between 2000 and 2003, the 13th century windows from the 9th and 10th South bays of the nave of Reims Cathedral were restored just like the whole 14th century windows of the western front with the rose window in Metz Cathedral (the latter restoration also included a protective secondary glazing).

In 2006, l’Atelier Simon MARQ restored the 12th century windows of the Treasure in Châlons en Champagne Cathedral.

In 2007, l’Atelier Simon MARQ is still restoring the windows from the 2nd and 3rd South bays of the Metz Cathedral. These works mut be achieved in 2008. At the same time, the workshop carries on the restoration of the five stained glass windows of the 13th century of the Chapelle du Foyer de la Charité de Baye, in the Marne. Started in 2006, the latter restoration was awarded the prize of Le Pélerin Magasine.
